Virtual Field Trip Project
In groups of three, you will create one PowerPoint presentation promoting your colony for a fictional class field trip. Your PowerPoint will be at least 7 slides long. The breakdown is as follows:
1. Title Page with photo (tourism/modern)
2. Founding (who, why, when, from where)
3. Primary Colonial economy
4. Founder or Important Person if no single founder
5. Historic Site to visit (National Park, monument, museum exhibit, colonial home/farm, etc.)
6. Historic Site to visit
7. Fun Activity (amusement park, zoo, other museum, parks, non-colonial tourist attraction)
There will be in class research time and a Pathfinder available for you. Try and create something that will persuade people to choose your colony!
